  49. I don't have any knowledge of the relative merits of these cars as
  50. regards radio noise, but there will be a lot of variation even within
  51. one make or model.  Further, if you opt for the Taurus you will be a
  52. new victim of the American car sales pitch.  I won't go into any
  53. details here but common sense should prevail.

  55. My old Mercedes was very quiet, as is my current BMW.  My old
  56. Chrysler car was an electronic mess.

  84.  I got a variety of responses for a car which would be good for 100 watts
  85. or so of HF and 50 or so of 2 meter and 440 radio. Criteria were lack of
  86. interference from car into receiver and from transmitter into auto
  87. electronics.
  88.  
  89. Diesels and the Taurus were among those favored. Anyone else have comments
  90. on these choices.
